Guy Harvey Honors Conservation Efforts at Miami International Boat Show

Guy Harvey recently honored the hard work of three organizations for their outstanding efforts in preserving the environment.

Through the Angels of the Sea program, Dr. Harvey awarded honorees at the recent Miami International Boat Show with signed prints, representing original artwork from his collection. Angels of the Sea is a partner of the Dubai-based Save Our Seas Foundation, which recognizes the efforts of those who contribute to the preservation of the environment.  MetroMedia Marketing, Inc., a public relations and events firm headed by Betty Bauman manages the Angels of the Sea program.

Honorees included:

The South Florida Chapter of Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing for their Turtle Hatchling Rescue Project.  Nearly 10,000 turtle hatchlings were saved under the auspices of STOP, The Sea Turtle Oversight Protection Group.  The local chapter ladies saved some 2,000 turtles, spending almost 800-night time hours waiting and guiding hatchlings safely to the sea.

Lady Anglers of Brevard County, Florida for their Spoil Island Adoption Project at Cape Canaveral.  The group cleaned up trash from a recreational island and facilitated mangrove development through replanting and more.

Star Brite was recognized as a corporate partner for the company’s eco-friendly line of boat cleaning products.

Congrats to all!
